Anyone using this to monitor their heart rate, sleep or to promote fitness levels...
I'm addicted to it atm but am concerned about any adverse medial implications ...

I use one. I don't think it could hurt you but I didn't read any adverse effects on it. I suppose if you went mad and pushed yourself too hard it wouldn't be so good so don't over do it
Exercise is a GOOD thing, but everything in moderation.
I use one now, having moved on from a Garmin Vivofit. The heart is monitored by small green lights, which work in a similar way to an oximeter. The heart beat monitor is very useful for me to keep my heart rate below maximum, not more than about 165 bpm. That means I need to keep to a brisk walk or gentle jog, nothing much fiercer. The device has also helped me see my resting heart rate go down from 70 bpm to a range between 63 and 67 as I get fitter.
It's not invisible? It's a watch type item which monitors heart rate, sleep, helps breathing/relaxation etc.
I use on Minsha;mainly to keep an eye on my steps and calories.
I have a Fitbit , before 2015 I used it daily to track my steps as I went on an adventure, I trekked to Tibet in March 2015, in July 2015 I was admitted to hospital and they discovered I had instertitial lung disease . I still use it now , it keeps me aware of my bad days and good days, heart rate was excellent 53 , now I occaisionally get to 57 but the majority of the time it's higher. Defiantly a good thing to have 😀😀
I have the charge hr and find it good for monitoring heart rate steps and sleep, it's been very useful in helping me work out what I'm actually doing in a day so helps me with making little goals for me to achieve and increasing activity.
