Big Benefits Survey 2017

Hi guys,

You may or may not have heard of the Disability Benefits Consortium. It’s a group of charities who campaign on disability and sickness benefits.

Each year, they run a survey to find out about people’s experience of the system over the previous year.

Depending on how much you have to say, it can take from 10 to 30 minutes to complete. If you’ve got the time to fill it in, it’s a great way to influence the work they’re doing.

Taking part will also help influence our work at The British Lung Foundation.

We won’t be able to see individual responses but we will be able to see the data for people with lung conditions. Not every condition is listed so please tick “lung disease/other” and write your condition in the box at the bottom.

Hi, Just for information I would like to say that when I changed from DLA to PIP I had such an easy journey, no assessment at all and benefits just changed over with no fuss. The questionair doesn't really give much scope for actual experiences people have had, and I am sure not all have been as lucky as me.

If I remember the government did a so called think tank about disabilities and counted associations as 1 and did not take in the amount of members which could be 1000's which fudged the figures loads.
