Hi I have just been diagnosed with copd after having lung function test it doesn't say much in the letter just its a significant digree and they advise my doctor to send my to see a respiratory team.

hi Kaza and welcome sort you have been diagnosed with COPD I was 42.

Ask you GP to refer you to a local pr course you will learn so much and will be able to manage your condition much better.

I don't know if you smoke I did like a chimney but gave up I now go to the pool as often as I can and have a flu jab every year.

Hi im 46 I stopped smoking 4 1/2 years ago I did smoke alot and needed to stop for my health. I have been waking up on a night cant breathe wheezing really bad and also had pains in my chest and struggling during the day.

I was like that for the first 6 months but as you gave up over 4 years ago I would go and see your GP and well done for giving up

Hi Kaza,

I'm 49yrs old and very new to this forum and was just diagnosed with moderate copd a couple of weeks ago .I have been given great advise on here keep posting . You can also ring the British Lung Foundation and speak to a nurse. If I were you I would make a gp appt (if you haven't) as possible chest infection as I've felt like that.. have they given you any inhalers I have the blue one which helps

Hi I have had blue inhalers since the age of 5 years when diagnosed with asthma and have been given fostair over a year ago when my asthma as i thought started getting worse im going today to see gp so will see what he says.
