A very warm welcome to you Catsmam. I'm sorry I can't answer your question but I'm sure you'll get more replies later. Hope you're husband's angiogram goes well & please come back & let us know how you got on 🌺
I'm in that boat....just in a decline phase for me.
I am not in a similar situation health wise but did have an angiogram a few years ago. Best of luck with it.
G'day Catsmam
We were in in this situation, as you may recall Susan had IPF, and after the assessment for acceptance onto the wait list an angeogram was performed.
The Dr's performed this to ensure that the arteries and blood vessels were not obstructed. This procedure is done for all patients prior to acceptance to the list.
I guess that in your hubby's case they may want to ensure that the blood supply is not being affected. Best to talk to the Dr's and ascertain why the angeogram is being performed.
If nothing else the results may give you peace of mind.
Will be thinking of you both.

Technically the heart has to work harder if the lungs are not working properly. The check is to make sure there is nothing else going on - sometimes an echocardiogram is done
