Stew and dumplings today

Back down to earth and back to normal ,,,,so it's stew in the slow cooker today ,I'll pop the dumplings in for the 20 minutes or so ,,,,comfort food ,,,,,can't beat it ,

I got this pack of stewing beef from Asda and it had this ale sauce I put it in the slow cooker with onion and served it with baby potatoes and peas it was lush 😋 you enjoy

Yummy ,I added an ale sauce ,,can't beat a meal like this on a winters day ,,, salads next week as I ate farrrrrr toooo much ,haha

can you buy the sauce this came with a small packet it was lush I'm back to the pool next week so a few more weeks of stew for me 😆

Yes all the super stores sell it ,its in a packet ,Schwartz do one for steak & ale pie ,good luck at the pool

I use steak and ale for ours..... Packets are not for me. Sorry to be negative. Enjoy your stew however you make it!

I hear your staff aren't allowed holidays . look at poor mr o all you done all Christmas was moan cos he had a couple of days taking things easy

I tack vet good care of my staff you can't give them to much time off they only get bored. Mr o is ok nothing poor about him he gets 3 meals a day 😆

Always loved stew and home made dumplings they stick to your ribs and keep them warm.

Not sure about ironing, usually leave that till absolutely necessary, but things like phoning , writing to penpals, reading, crosswords, house jobs then relaxing to watch a TV program maybe. Some modern gadgets for cooking I would not be without xx
