We just got into bed at 11.00 pm yesterday when a little voice from the 3 yr old piped up! Thankfully, Mummy heard him too and settled him back down. We didn't hear another peep from him or his 5 yr old sister until 6.45 am so we felt quite chilled. However, the day's been full on since then and, now they have all gone off to the in-laws, I'm pleased to have some quiet time.
I feel sad that I can't keep going like I used to, but glad that I've had a lovely morning and Christmas dinner with our daughter and family here at our house. I thought my days of doing Christmas dinner were past as the kids have done them on the last few alternate years, so to pull it out of the bag today was something of a triumph - even if I am knackered now!
Happy Christmas, everyone! Hope you have all enjoyed your day too! Don't forget to put your feet up. XX

Me too! I love to see the kids come but I no longer feel bereft when they leave as it's a welcome chance to put my feet up again! Glad you had a good day too.
I certainly did! Unfortunately, I went on to have a vertigo attack but am ok again this morning. Met up with the family at the Premier Inn for breakfast and now back home for the rest of the day - peace and quiet!
