Is there such a thing as a rehab? I have been housebound now for over a year, Would love to get away for a couple of weeks for a change and mind. Is there a rehab for people like myself?

I am on oxygen/nebuliser so need to accomadate them.

Thank you all my best wishes for the season

Hello foxyeric,

I am sure there is, and I think there will be some good and helpful answers coming your way very soon. You really need a break away by the sound of it. A year being housebound must be a great strain on you. I was wondering if you have family or carers.

I wish you all the best and hope you can get away very soon.

My good wishes to you for Christmas and the New Year of 2017:-)

Adult social services should be able to give you information on that you can contact them through your local council but if your a patient of your local hospice they may be able to help too

It should be on prescription :)

There definately are places to have a break even if on oxygen, disability now site does a page on breaks. But If you type in disabled holidays on your PC or laptop it will access you to those who offer help. I know of one down in Porthcawl , south wales but it is mainly aimed at over 65s to give their carers a break. Hope you find something and heres wishing you a happy christmas with maybe a break in the new year , its not very nice being housebound but there are more services now to help get you out. Age UK might be aware of help in your area to prevent you from becoming isolated in your own home they do help different age groups nowadays.
