I have copd bronchitis and slight asthma and a right nuisance it is too. You sound as though you've been through a tough time recently. Did the hospital change your treatment? Have you support from your gp? You sound as though you could do with a bit of extra support at the moment but you're in the right place to get information and support on this site. x

"Always be positive". Coming from you Help_61, this is a tonic just to read!! I hope all the other readers get the same "lift" that I got when I read it, following your story of all your disasters!!!

It is very true - there is ALWAYS someone worse off than yourself.

Please keep this optimism on your mind - I will try to do the same, though my problems fade into insignificance compared to yours.

I do hope that you can enjoy a Very Happy Christmas, and that next year is a better on for you.

Eric.

Can I remind everyone here that those presenting symptoms of any form of COPD should request to be tested for Alpha One Antitrypsin deficiency! It's vital your tested, if your young ages range from 3rd or 4th decade of life, have to be tested for this genetically inherited liver, lung disease that can be devastating if left to late . This condition is not rare, but rarely 'diagnosed' so please ask for a test kit or contact the Adapt clinic in Birmingham and get one sent out to you, its a simple blood test for more information look up alpha one uk support groups.. thanks! Broncocetsis has a close association to AATD (alpha one) ..if you need any more info message me .
