Hello everyone. I was wondering do you feel better when in a warmer climate such as the Caribbean during our winter months if you have asthma or bronchiectasis?

Absolutely yes! Unfortunately I have had to cancel my post Christmas Caribbean sojourn. this year because my daughter is about to begin chemo and I don't want to leave her.

I found it difficult to breath in the Caribbean because of the humidity but love the dry heat of Egypt. Sadly can't travel there any more though.

As someone already said warmth is good but humidity is bad. If Egypt and muslim areas are out of bounds, a nice dry and warm destination is the Canaries. Owing to her COPD I'm trying to get my wife to move there.

Well dickinson1954 I'm going to Las Palmas, a cosmopolitan 380k inhabs seaside city, on 4th Nov. The idea is to pick up Spanish while the wife thinks it over. At 67 I'll play the student till then ☺. Cheers Mario

I'm a weird one, I prefer the cold air, I am finding it difficult to cope with our hot summers x

Beware high humidity out there!

Yep Canaries is good for me in winter. Not only the weather, but the winter colds we catch in the UK is typically endemic to north western Europe, so you likely avoid them in those warmer southern climates.
