Very old newcomer

Have been reading this column for ages and finally plucked up the courage to write,. I feel I know many of you already and look forward to know many more! Can't add a photo as am useless at such sophisticated use of my simple iPad ?

Hi Ruthgore. I lurked for weeks before plucking up the courage to post, it's quite daunting when you haven't done anything like that before.

As for the picture, I haven't a clue how to do it either, not that I want to, I dodge family photo's like the plague haha xx

Good morning Ruthgore, and a very warm welcome from me too. I joined early this year and as the water looked clean plunged straight in. Everyone has been lovely, and making new friends is great when you live quite a solitary life like me. The help and advice is second to none, and I'm so glad I found the site. Please do join in. I can't help about the ipad for I use a desk top computer and it's easy to upload pics. Hope someone will come along soon and help. Do you have copd?

Hi there. I had the same problem then someone said you can't do it from the iPad, only a PC. I don't know why that is but I stopped trying after that! Anyway, nice to meet you.

If you have got photos on your iPad then you can upload them. As far as I can make out you can only upload when you are initiating the post, not when you reply (If I am wrong someone will soon put me right).

I have severe Emphysema on1/2lt oxygen overnight, 3 to 4 lt when walking about.

If you have a camera app, on your ipad, you can take a picture, it is now on your photos app. When adding a photo to your post, choose .'existing' find the photo you want to upload, click on it and it should come up with your post. Good luck! Iris x

Hello Ruth , I don't write a lot but read it daily , makes me laugh, cry sometimes , but it all helps to know there are others out there, some who are very ill and still make us laugh 😂

As Iris says, you need to start a new post, write a title, then whatever you want to say.

Click on photo and go to your photos. Click on the one you want, it may say open. It should the upload.

The photos must not be bigger than 2.5 mb which is a reasonable size. If you right click the photo it will show the size.

Once the photo is uploaded, click on topic and choose one. If it isn't health related click General Chat. This is very important, as your post may disappear if it hasn't got a topic.
