I just wanted to thank everyone who has supported me for the last year since Mike died so suddenly two days after our Golden Wedding. It would have been our 51st Anniversary tomorrow & then it will be a year on Monday since he died. As those of you who have been through it ( or have experienced it more recently) will know, even with the support of family, friends & neighbours, having the support from people on this forum makes such a difference - thank you all so much. I couldn't face being at home for both the Anniversaries so I flew to my son & his family on Wednesday for two weeks - not without some apprehension I have to say - it's a long journey from West Wales to Connecticut, but I did it. Anyway, thank you all once again, especially those of you who still pm me - you know who you are.😘

Thank you for you support.
Have a wonderful time with your son Helen and thinking of you.
Good to be with those who care and also amongst the brilliant supportive people on here. Xxxx
Thanks Sassy & thank you for your message about my daughter & the farce re: the sling when she broke her hand. She has had the cast off now & has a splint on which allows her to drive so she is happy with that. Hope you have a good weekend & that Pete is behaving himself ( medically speaking .)
Glad you put "medically speaking " re Pete! He's not too bad thanks Helen. So pleased your daughter is doing better.
Lots of love xxxxx
Probably a very good idea to get away for a bit, Helen. I hope you have a wonderful break in Connecticut and enjoy seeing your son and his family.
Best wishes to you.

I have not been on HealthUnlocked for a long time and I just noticed that you had messaged me. I am really sorry to hear about your husband. I have been struggling to get an accurate diagnosis so was rather distracted. I hope you are reasonably OK although it must be really sad for you.
