Titchy, I'm really sorry to hear this. I hope you get over this infection soon. do you take some antibiotics?

I also found tha Vitamin D3 might help, but only in the long run. some people swear by it! Take care, Mic

Gosh titchy, I have the same reflex acid and IBS. My doc has prescribed lanzoprazole for the acid. but for IBS, I found a product on Amazon called Jarro-Zymes plus whihc has enzymes to digest difficult things we eat. I can't put al the things that it does to digest the food, but I know for having taken it because I felt so uncomfortable that it helps..

I hope this helps, Mic

That's right Kathy, Ome -and lanzo- are the same product, one French the other English! mebverine is for stomach pain. You are doing well.

Jarrozymes helps too to digest meat, bread, cheese, potatoes and so forth. Hope you get some comfort out of it. Mic

If you have any lung condition air quality and air temp / humidity will have effects to varying degrees unfortunately :( I struggle with both hot and cold weather as well as wind (and I mean the weather type of wind :) )

Plumbob, Same here, wind and chill don't do me any good. Mic

Used to love the hot weather, but now really affects me, along with humidity and pollen levels. Last few days in London have been cooler and my ankles swelling has just started to go down, but understand hot weather on way back so have to wait and see. this summer has just been so bad for us with poor breathing, when it's really hot and humid I just stay indoors.

Hi misuse i can't stand the warm weather even after i have taken all my meds still can't breath properly so i have to stay indoors so i know how you must feel hope the weather cools down abit take care

Hi Camilla. Yep, I get that. I get it when I'm freezing cold too. It's a funny thing, but when you're too warm, your lungs tend to contract, making it harder for you to breathe. When you're too cold, your lungs tend to contract, making it hard for you to breathe.

It's a no-win situation really! I've found my own way of coping, I'm sure you'll find yours. Everyone is different. Hope you feel better soon. Good luck :) x

Camilla, poor you. Yes, it's been quite hot and heavy here too, lalthough I do like the heat. True, activities will be restricted during this period. Bathe your hands and arms in cold water, that can help.

Regards, Mic

@ camilla1 , I went to the surgery yesterday because, like you, I was in distress with my breathing over the past 3 weeks. First time I have felt like it in 2 years. Jelly legs, no energy etc. He was really thorough, checked lungs, heart, blood oxygen etc and asked the Nurse to come and take bloods. He told me it was all normal and that the heat had put my lungs under stress. He also told me that in France the government was providing air conditioning for people at risk, even if in just one room. So many more deaths have occurred over recent years with climate change.Still puffy but reassured. Stay indoors during the next hot spell though. Polly x
