Hi vonr , I have problems with some bronchodilators too.
I asked my consultant in the past if some of my medications may cause a rebound effect....just got a non comittal reply.
Hi I use it to and I've notice I seem to wheeze more .
Overuse of this drug is dangerous. If it is worsening your breathing you need to urgently consult with your GP.
Not worsening but I am becoming dependent on it. I have not been diagnosed as having COPD. Asthma is what I was told I may have moved into related to Gerd and allergy's. I never had allergy's before. Cough cough cough. Nose runs early morning (eased by using Mucinex) and at night. One half tab of Mucinex every 8 hrs. That and one shot albuterol followed by one shot of Symbicord every 10 hours. If I don't do this pattern I have tested on for months now, I'll have difficulty breathing and my nose runs and congestion builds from mucus draining down my throat. I don't want to start using more and more of these medicines having my body becomes reliant on these and requires more to ease.
I would be asking questions.
"Important information for people with asthma: Symbicort is for use only if asthma is severe or is not well-controlled on other long-term asthma medication, such as an inhaled steroid.
Use only the prescribed dose of Symbicort, and do not use it for longer than your doctor recommends. Follow all patient instructions for safe use."
when I was on my PR course a few people had been put on this and thought it was wonderful
