Hello Jeanjt,

Keep Going...................keep going.............you will do it even quicker and forever if you use Zyban capsules from your surgery.

Let us know how you are getting on and if you have a weak moment - write to us.

On the 19th March I quit, But decided to go cold turkey...did not think I would get so far.....21st March suffered such bad chest pains got rushed to Hospital and after test for heart and lungs, they said I got a blood clot on my left lung, But the pain I had was really bad I thought I was dying.....Swore I would never smoke again it is hard and feel for you....But keep going I am..even though I am having to struggle at certain times of the day....Noticed i have been eating more....have not felt any benefit yet but sure I will once this clot has gone....But CT scan also revealed start of emphysema that would not surprise me as I have been smoking since I was 14 and now just turned 60....But keep at it ......Best wishes Patricia

Just make sure you're not giving up one bad habit for another. Recent health survey suggests e-cigs are dangerous, not really surprising since they were launched with minimal research and involve breathing in chemicals into the lungs. We don't know for sure what the long term health implications of these will be, but naïve to believe they are harmless. Good luck, I know it's not easy, although in my case it was a lot easier than I expected, but only because it was too late for me and the long term damage had been done.
