As I can't remember the day I stopped smoking. So I'm going to use today to say that it has been 4 weeks. I have been feeling a bit better to day. When the Oxygen nurse checks my levels she has me at 92 on 2lt Oxygen at rest. As I'm writing this I'm at 87 without Oxygen is that good ?

Still not smoking
Well done on 4 weeks of not smoking, I'm not on oxygen but my stats are low so someone else would have better idea sorry I can't help but keep up the good work you should be proud of yourself xx
28 days without a cigarette.......that is great. It's one of the very hardest things to give up. It will improve you know - you will gradually expel all the nasty stuff. The fact that you are starting to feel better is terrific news.
I can't comment on the oxygen levels as I am not on it. As Junegirl says - be proud of yourself. I think someone will be here shortly to give you an answer
xx
Well done on stopping smoking it will slow down the progression of this disease. I am not on oxygen so I can't answere your question. I was told by my consultant that the normal range for COPD sufferers was between 92 and 88 any thing under 88 at rest all the time you need Oxygen. Hope someone comes on to give you a proper answere take care x
Hi Spike, it might be an idea to phone your respiratory nurse and ask her advice. I'm on ambulatory oxygen 2-3 ltrs per min when I move about, housework etc. but at rest I seldom drop below 90 , if I was below 88 at rest I would phone in because that's when low oxygen levels can cause damage to all of your other organs.
Well done on achieving 4 weeks without old nic! I had some really funny dreams for a while after I stopped , once I dreamt I was having a sly fag under a table covered by a large table cloth!😁 nicotine brain thoughts. Best thing I ever did was stop. huff xxx
Well done on the smoking front, your through the worst! 87 sounds good to me without oxy but only because mine is much lower. You do need to keep it above 88 if you can. Xx
Hi Spikex1x, just a quick well done on keeping up the no smoking, job well done
Well done on achieving one of the most difficult things. It will get better so stay with it. Its about time and we are all so different, please stay with it.
