Yes I believe those on oxygen here do as well.  Oh and we all wear shoes as well ;)  x

I  don't. I only wear shoe. 😉

Only 1 Rib?   Should I ask why?  x

I  only have one foot.

in reply toRibvanRey

Oh dear sorry Rib.  I guess you have to buy a pair of shoes and chuck one away?   x

No. I bought a pair about 30 years ago and they still look unworn. One never has been but due to my highly conservative taste the one that I do wear suits all occasions just fine. Well worth the £20. It dusts off beautifully.

Sorry Rib.  Just read your personal details for the first time!  I had no idea.   x

After all these years ROFLOL.

Anyway now you know why shoeshops only have one shoe outside the shoe. 😉  People like me wizz past and get a new one. 😆

Ha ha what a good idea Rib!  :)  It's only been 3 years...  ha ha.  Take care Bev xx

Hi

I shower with oxygen, remove for hair and face, also use a shower stool. Change the shower head from a multi spray rubberised head to a chrome head. I also take frequent rest.

Hi

As an extra point. My local hospital as a oxygen point within the shower cubicle for those who use it. And supply required piping and cannula or mask.

HI

I too posed this question to the BLF, BOc

2malinka profile image

cont'd..BOC and my COPD Nurse and none would commit themselves to a response.  In the end I took the advice of Stone on the BLF  who spoke about organ failure when not using oxygen with that type of exertion and yes that it was ok to use oxygen in the shower.  Now, I do just that,  and although still breathless, I am not terrified that I will die in the shower and all the ramifications etc.... I have a stool and  a power shower that sprays behind me.  I take cannula off  very briefly when I rinse hair.  Hope this is helpful.

Look after yourself.

I wear wellies in the shower so I don't get my feet wet.

Pete doesn't use oxygen as yet but gets a bit claustrophobic in the shower so doesn't linger.

Nice to hear from you and glad to hear you wear shoes. Take care. Xxx 😄

Then you need a big, warm towelling robe to put on after the shower. Sit down, stay warm and let the robe dry you off!

I read this somewhere else on here, and do just that now!  No more exhausting myself to get dry!  great advice for showering with O2 on this site!

It was probably me in another post -- I'm a great believer in towelling robes; they save my day from the misery of being useless for hours :)

Oh yes robe, fluffy slippers and drip dry. You can't beat it, tough if you in a hurry though but better late than puffing like a pair of bellows!

Why do things always go wrong on Fridays and Bank Holidays! Never mind it is only recently people believed you had th shower every day, once a week used to be good enough and don't talk about Elizabethan times!
