Montelukast is new to me and I have had it for the last 5 days. Awful dreams about rats last night and this morning my skin is very itchy. Think it must be the drug. Anyone agree?

Hi, I hope it's not the drug, isn't it only 10mg?

I'm extremely sensitive to drugs, I've been taking it for 2.5 years with no adverse effects. It's something they give to children to help with the allergic aspect of asthma so I'm surprised if you've had a reaction.

Have you read the leaflet for any side effects?

Hope you find out what's going on soon. P

Hi, have been on this drug for years no problems it has helped me with night time coughing.

My husband had a very bad drug reaction a number of years ago - with exactly those symptoms! Please go back to your doctor xxx

I've been on this since 2014 and have had no side-effects whatsoever. But everyone's different so check with your doctor if you're worried.

Hi ,not the same side effects ,,,but I did stop taking it ,,,,as I was having difficulty in getting any sleep, feeling sick and had palpitations,,,,,,,phoned my GP and he said he agreed it was best for me to come off it ,,,,,weeks later I was put on slow-phylin but I stopped that aswell due to same problems,,,,,,,saw consultant 2 months later although he was disappointed he agreed it wasn't right for me ,,,,AT THIS TIME ,,,,,but it would be something to try again in the future if needed,
