Everything

Just used my hand held peak flow, I blew 450 three time, I'm sure I used it a few months ago and I was blowing arbour 360ish.

Exercise and deal breathing exercises really do work.

What specific exercises do you do and can you give online links? Am new to this (first spiro tomorrow) and have been reading so much my head is about to burst! Any tried and tested help very much appreciated.

thanks

Maureen

Hi Mo

Don't forget to ask for a copy of your results. Let us know how you get on.

Try not to worry

I haven't tried mine for about 6 months. I used to blow 350 before I stopped smoking (2 yrs ago in Feb) and was disappointed it never got any higher after stopping. Then since reading on here that it's mainly used for Asthma, I haven't bothered.

Well done xx

Here's a chart. My dad has one of those flow meter things that look like a giant syringe you blow into to test / get these rates.

Well done on the improvement keep it up.

I used to blow 650. I am lucky to blow 350 now but with RLD you will blow a higher number than those with asthma/copd.

Restrictive Lung Disease .

copd.about.com/od/copdbasic...

Or

webmd.com/lung/obstructive-...

Both show difference between COPD and RLD.
