Hi artpats from what I have heard about palliative care it is purely patient centred and just to help you manage your care with a multi-disciplinary respiratory team. The focus is on you and your needs and the decisions are yours.

Am thinking of you. Lots of hugs xx

Hi my consultant wanted me to have palliative care for two days a week at the local hospice ,this was in January I turned the offer down because I have my daughters dog whilst she is at work otherwise I would have gone

Woody ( the dog) is 13 years old and we look after one another he s not got much longer now I don't want my daughter worrying whilst she is at work she worries enough about me

Think you will find it very caring and helpful

Take care

Dorothy

I have just got involved with palliative care with the Sue Ryder group in my area, it is great to have a new avenue of thought and discussion.

The words palliative care filled me with fear when it was first mentioned to me but its been a great help as i have the support of the symptom management team and lots of visits from a specialist nurse and ...........its very reassuring to know you have them at the end of the phone should you need them and they offer a range of therapies if your the type of person who is interested in them
