AAT test normal

This is a relief. Even though I still have SOB, mild obstruction and hyperinflation, this is a plus. AAT emphysema is bad news, well all of it is. So while it does not change how I feel, it is another thing to check off the list I guess. Few more tests to go...............

Yes it is. Still have issues but at least I know my AAT is good.

Hi patrick, glad u got the all clear for Alpha 1, I'm an alpha 1 ZZ with severe emphasema at 43, and I'd love to say I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but if I'm honest there are lots of people I would happily give it too, anyway, hope all the other tests u have are good too, but u get to the bottom of ur problems. Take care xx Sonia xx

Sonia,

I would have been surprised if it was, but one never knows. Never thought I would be in this position at 43, I am sure you feel the same. Anyway, there is no doubt I have done some damage, that much I know. I feel it, whether or not it is seen is another question.

Best to you.......

Yes, thank for telling us. HRCT still on the horizon?

If you are like me I know that what is going on in my lungs is not good (six years of slowly deteriorating SOB and chest pain and not one med or inhaler working) and I am reconciled to it being bad news, what else can it be? But all I want now is a diagnosis.

It will, I hope, stop the hamster wheel in my head that just churns away at the same things, repeating them all over and over again, trying to put the pieces of the jigsaw together, or hoping that the doctors will do so. (Sorry about the mixed metaphors. Hamster wheels and jigsaws!)

We are all about to go to bed, are you waking up?

I am not sure what the time difference is. I live in New Mexico. Ill have to look. HRCT with inspiration/expiration is on 11/25. I just want, of course, for the CT to be "normal".
