I'm so pleased today, owing to my poor health l have had to sell nearly all my Racing Pigeons, the good news is that the 29 sold at auction today brought in for Charity the magnificent sum of£2400, this is being divided equally between the British Heart Foundation, British Lung Foundation, McMillans and NSPCC. Thanks to all those that went along even if they didn't buy.
God Bless you all.

Thank you Tatters for the donation from the sale of your much loved pigeons, I bet you will miss them all, you have chosen three worthy causes. Best wishes x
This must of been so sad for you to see them go I know some people who have pigeons and they treat them like babies, well done for donating the money to charity
Thanks to all those kind people that have thanked me and sent their good wishes to me. I have kept a few birds back to help keep me active and give me an interest, how long I can keep on with them I don't know, I'm on 24/7 oxygen and it does restrict you. Best wishes to you all, you are lovely people.
tatters. I think you might like this story, during the war my granddad great kept Pigeons and Nan got fed up of the noise and the mess they made in the shed, only one morning Nan came down and found her Dad(granddad great) being very grumpy and all was very silent. Nan asked where are the Pigeons dad, gone sold them to the pet shop. after a few days there was that noise again pigeons, pet shop sold them and they all started to fly home so granddad great got the pigeons back.
Tatters it`s really commendable of you to donate so much to charity. It can`t have been easy to part with so many of your birds. My late brother kept racing pigeons and I know how special they were to him. Bless you, keep well, Sheila x
Tatters how very kind of you to donate the money from the sale of your pigeons to the charities of your choice. I can remember when very small going each sunday to an uncle who had a pigeon loft in his garden he had names for each of them and he used to let us hold them.
