I can't thank the people on this site enough, your replies are very helpful and have given me a lot of confidence in having better quality of life in the future, in fact I have been out in my car this afternoon, first time in over 4 weeks, 11 days of that was spent in Hospital. The run out was a test as I have to visit the local hospital tomorrow to see the heart nurse. Will use my mobility scooter and mobile oxy.

Thanks to all Tatters.

That's wonderful to hear you are getting out & about again. It does us all good to leave the house for a while, meet people, look at the world around us. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow, let us know how you got on

Thanks for your kind words. The hospital appointment went well, used my mobility scooter and portable oxy cylinder to get in and back, the heart failure nurse said 'why didn't you ask fro a home visit' I explained I had decided to get out and about, yes my heart was still beating and have my next appointment in 3 months. Had a nice man come out of his house when I got back to the car and starting to stow my buggy, he said he would give me a lift into the car with it, I explained a had a hoist for lifting it in, it wasn't cheap, just under £1,000 but very handy.
