Himself Was Awful Cross...

Another day of self-induced idleness...whatever enthusiasm I usually have has obviously gone on holiday.

We were startled awake early this morning by something banging on the back door... It was Nancy...next door but ones dog...so frantic she was to get in to be with us she'd ripped a lump of wood off the back step.

They'd gone camping.

Left Nancy and Tilly...the chickens and the shouty parrot behind to be 'looked after' by the new arrivals in the street. The Italians.

Who hadn't much bothered, or so it would seem.

When Himself is seriously angry over something he doesn't rant or swear...he just goes ominously quiet.

He put a spare collar on Nancy...despite my entreaties to put a collar and tag on her, they never have...took her home and shut her in one of the stables. She'd chewed the door-frame and the bottom of the stable door in her efforts to get out. Himself put big stones along the bottom to stop her from squeezing under again.

They came back today...been gone since last Tuesday...

There are times when I wonder about people and their lack of responsibility...

This is a true story.......I knew a woman who went away for a week, leaving her cats on their own in the flat. She put 7 dishes of food on the floor for them, so they would have one for each day! Duh! :-( Some people....words fail me (for a change.)

I hope Himself has a serious talk with these people - and please tell me he didn't leave Nancy without food and water?

I have been so worried about little Nancy being shut in a shed, after she had come to ask for help.

How unkind of them to leave the poor little dog sounds like she had separation anxiety, perhaps if it happens again a few photos of the shed door or her digging to get out might make them think twice about leaving her ... failing that I would report them as some people just can not be reasoned with.
