Of course setting up my new Kindle was not without problems...put in your password it said.
Ah yes...what would be the password...
I searched high and low in old notebooks and scraps of paper...tried all the likely ones and they weren't correct...not enough letters...not enough numbers.
In the end I gave up and 'phoned Eircom.
Spoke to a very nice chap who told me his name was Andrew...explained my problem.
He didn't laugh...he must have wanted to, but he didn't.
Turn your modem upside down he said...see the jumble of letters and numbers? That's the password.
So frustrating, the minute letters they use! We had endless fun and games setting up my husband's tablet and phone. I am amazed at the way he has embraced them, after having his ancient 1990's Sagem phone since it was new.
Another fellow buddy. The amount of times I can't find a password. Then someone at the end of a phone solves it in a moment. Sad to say passwords have a part to play in this new generation but terribly frustrating if your memories poor, and can deny you access to all the gadgets we have to use these days, including our money in the bank. Unfortunately they do not seem to make things more secure in many cases, just produce a load of hackers trying to steal your security details and passwords. That's my gripe for the day, have a good one Vashti.
Passwords are a pain Vashti and I have paperwork with lots written on but can never find the one I want, when I want it.
Onward and upward though. Hope the Kindle works well now.

I have a kindle fire HDX. Wouldn't be without it! I use it far more than my iPad. I've got hundreds of books on it that I can read anytime I feel like it. I'm constantly on the Internet on it, researching or shopping. Don't know how I managed without one before I started using it!
