One of my favourite singers, Judith Durham, has had bronchiectasis all her life.
She said " ''It's not exactly life-threatening,'' she says of the condition. ''It's just that I've constantly got limited oxygen. It's like a smoker's cough, in a way. It has become more difficult to manage as time has gone on and I expect it to become more difficult, because it is a progressive illness.''
