Sorry...didn't mean to have startled anyone about yesterdays article suddenly disappearing...it simply became too personal after I'd written about ticks and so I deleted it...shouldn't have posted it in the first place.
But thank you Nikkers and all who replied to her...

Hi Vashti , don't be sorry be happy there's a 'delete' button 😀! Hope you are alright , I'm amazed how fast this week has gone by, the big fellows got a month off so we're headed for a week in Wicklow on Wednesday, I cant wait and I'm so glad I have my conserver!take care and take it easy, hugs huff xxx😀
That's what I thought Vashti. It's worth all of us remembering that we can delete our own posts when we wish. A couple of weeks ago I deleted all of mine and intend to do that regularly from now on. Why ? Bcause I felt some of them revealed more personal information then I was comfortable having there for anyone who comes across this site or joins. I know I'm a bit obsessive about privacy( or complete lack of it) on the internet. The troubles we've had here recently reminded me of how open seemingly closed forums like this are.
That conversation takes me back years to the time I was driving into Cork from Dublin and wanted a particular street. When I asked a guy who looked local for directions, one of them was "Den turn left where the chip shop used to be." What can you do ? Just say, "Thank you," and drive away to look for someone who's not so local. I did.
Kind regards,
Dec
