But this isn't new stilltruckin. Ever since Thatcher, public services have aped the private sector so that there's bigger and bigger differences between salaries of management and the pay of ordinary workers. Previously there didn't used to such massive pay gaps. It's the same with e.g. chancellors in universities compared with teaching staff who get bu**er all. So more and more division in society :(

Hi, it is shameless but sadly not new. The rich get rich & the poor get poorer but we expect and deserve more from our nhs. Love margaret x

Hi still trucking

I saw the article and was shocked on so many levels.

I had a small operation in a NHS hospital on Saturday performed by a private company which had been drafted in to bring down the NHS waiting list.

2 nurses were flown in from Ireland to the North East of England to assist and a consultant from the South performed.the procedure. It was a routine op. The service was excellent I left hospital with a letter telling me exactly what was found and recommended follow up tests and care.

Very expensive but efficient. Why can't our NHS operate with their efficiency? That team carried out 75 similar procedures on that one day.

My oh my

Shows how greedy, selfish some people are. How can they work for our NHS and milk it for all it is worth, not to mention inefficiently with no regard for the sick, aged etc.

I have been feeling guilty using Patient Transport to Guys, as I have never taken anything in benefits. Four days up there this week with all the scans, bloods etc. I just wouldn't have been able to use Public Transport. it's only Tuesday, day two and I'm shattered.

All the Doctors, Nurses, radiographers etc., have been brilliant. My care couldn't have been better. I am so grateful. Even the Nurse who when I arrived after she had finished

her shift, because the scans other bloods etc., were longer than they should have been.

Willing did my bloods with a smile and pleasant manner.

Our society isn't one I'm proud of. Apart from all you lovely people here.

Par for the course, I would think. This has been going on in state-run organisations for years and despite constant exposes such as this article, nothing changes.

But private corporations are very much worse Argana. Nowhere is ok sadly - i just feel more shocked and disappointed when its the public sector, there's used to be some kind of dedication to public service in the public sector. Now no longer, and made worse in the NHS by the Health and Social Care Act. :(

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough o2 but that's the point I intended to make. It's bad enough this happening in private organisations, but one would have hoped, that organisations in the public domain would be slightly better. I deliberately say 'would have hoped' because at this stage, nobody hopes and everyone knows. As I said, par for the course.

Not just Cameron this thas been a Major problem for years ! we get the usual empty promises from the politicians pre elections and in the last 20 years nothing has changed , only we can change it by a radical shake up of our parliament , if they have welched on their promises DONT GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE!
