I've stayed in 2 days now with the windows shut and I live up the road to the sea and I can not breathe very well ,doubled up on inhalors done nebulizer, still tight and uncomfortable . So it gets into gaps through the windows ,looks like a layer has set on my car ,be very careful don't want to end up in hospital .

Pollution in the air!!
I can taste the dust in my mouth!
Hi didn't see weather report yesterday and went out by the time I got back I was gasping for breath, still sob today but they say its going to blow over by tonight here's hoping.
I rarely need to use my blue inhaler but have had to do so for the past three days or so. I only pop out to freezer in our garage or the greenhouse to water a few plants , no great distance, but feel quite tight and puffy a lot of the day. Now, of course I know why that is. I live a few miles from the sea and thought it was a sea mist over everything, but realised today it was pollution hanging in the air. I understand that it will all clear by tonight so here's hoping we will all get some relief!
Wednesday was my worst day, but that was before I knew of any warnings...I could barely manage a few steps outside. Two days later after doubling my medication I can breathe more easily, and the sky is clear in the North Midlands.
I read today that the worst areas at the moment are the West Country (where I am) and South Wales. I went into town today and it was a bit hazy with it but it hasn't affected me at all thank goodness. All those of you who are more severe please take care and try your best to avoid it. Lets hope it goes very soon. xx
I think I live in the same town as you, but luckily it's fine and clear around me apart from the dark yesterday morning from the eclipse. I've been able to go out walking everyday without any ill effects.
Oh dear! should the wind blow it away quickly. You could phone your GP to ask for any advice. Van yo block the windows better? Poor you, I hope the wind blows it out soon.
I have experienced this over the past 2 or 3 days. Since the eclipse the air seems to have gone bad. Difficult to breath.... hopefully a fresh wind will clear it away.
Well I hope this clears up soon and you can get back outside. It's no fun being stuck in all the time. x
Dang!!! I live about 500 feet from a busy road, plus I've had to contend with months of 530 forest fires burning out of control in my province of British Columbia. I totally get it. I think the best thing to do is stay in find lots of things to do. If you must go out where an n95 mask. It removes 95% of the particulates in the air. I guess the other 5% gets into us but it's better than 100%. Feel for you guys over there.😣 xxx Take care...this seems to be a sign of things to come. Gads!!
