How long is a piece of string? It all depends on your situation. Have a look at direct.gov.uk (don't know how to do links) and ring up BLF , the numbers under the red balloon.

In your place I would ask your employer to see if there is a different job you could do. If you have worked there for 2 years or over they have a duty under the Health and Safety Act to either help you move jobs or to make some reasonable adjustments to help you stay in your current one. Bear in mind though that these are all subject to business needs. x

What meds are you on?

Hi - Good Morning sorry to hear that you are struggling at work. The first thing I would suggest is that you contact ACAS - they have a great website and will be able to advise what is available and what should be offered through your employment.

The CAB might be able to help advise what you could be entitled to. The BLF helpline You can call the helpline on 03000 030 555 Lines are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. They might be able to give you some advise.

We have a welfare rights team in our area and was put in contact with them through the specialist respiratory team - you might be able to google that.

Have you been back to the doctor and told him/her that you are more breathless? Are you on any inhalers? Again the helpline will be able to advise what medications are available that maybe able to help you. Take good care, TAD xxx
