Have I missed something?? Laura answered a post of mine,a few days ago,I think.Now she seems to have dissapeared.
Went on the help page,but after typing in her name,it said does not exist!

I didn't know Porsche well, but it is obvious that we know and care for each other. Friendships are forged so nice to keep others informed BUT who knows with Porsche - an emergency admission which can happen to a lot of us without warning.
Yes,I understand what you're saying,emergency scan certainly happen,but why would the acct be closed?

Morning wendells, u know I never thought I could praise this site and all the members anymore than wot do, how caring can u get, when u notice others ( when we know their poorly ) haven't been on for a while, that's what u call genuine love and support. I hope she's ok she's lovely. I know they decided she might be suitable for transplant when she went for lung reduction. That's the trouble we cant find out if something's wrong, and our family might not think to let anyone know.

When you use the site frequently you do get attached to people and supporting does get you involved, so it follows you become concerned when people can't be contacted. Some of us leave messages when we are going to be off site for what ever reason but must accept on a site like ours people take ill and pass away unexpectedly on occasions. We always hope absence is due to nice reasons but sadly that is not always so. Hope you are well today Mandy x

Laura had announced that she was fed up and was leaving. A lot of us wrote to that thread but I can't remember the title. It was suggested that she just take a break and come back after a rest. Laura is at the hospital gym pretty every day trying to get fit enough for a possible transplant. Hope this helps. Regards Rib

I have been off the forum myself for some time myself due to illness and setbacks, and have been just trying to ease myself back in. Just logged on and saw Wendell's post about Porche, or is it Porsche? Anyhow, she gave me her email address sometime ago, so do you think I should try and make contact that way. I know she was going to be in the gym starting this month building herself up for a potential lung transplant, but I think she was in a bad way. I cannot find her profile anywhere. Hope you are all doing as well as can be, and I will be in touch with some of you when I can. Let me know if you want me to email her will you?

Hi huggs, I think yes you should probably contact her at some stage. The fact that she has given you her email address means that you were obviously quite close (and she can always chose not to read your email). I have already messaged her telling her that we are all concerned about her, and how I have not been on the forum recently myself, due to my own health issues. I don't know if she will get it though as it was just a white box with an x in the middle of it. I will go and email her now. I have read some of the other posts on this thread and someone said they had spoken to her yesterday and she has a chest infection. I will let you know if I hear back from her. She is probably just needing to rest and not up to replying, but will just tell her how she is missed and that we are all thinking of her, and having a chest infection is not a good way to get out of doing gym work!!

Hi Everyone,
I have just emailed Laura, and explained why I had been out of touch which was why I didn't notice she wasn't around. I told her there was a long thread about her from everyone who was really concerned about her. I passed on everyone's good wishes and hopes that she gets well soon. Also said not to bother replying until she is able and has the energy to do so. To keep her precious energy for getting well. I, and am sure we all know that when unwell, and you are getting messages its so difficult to reply at times. I said I would keep sending her emails now and again just to let her know we are thinking of her. For the moment that is all we can do, as she knows she is in all our thoughts, and I don't want to be bombarding her with messages and things until she feels well enough to reply when she is ready.
Its easy to feel a lot worse quickly when you have lung problems as we all know, so I am sure that she will be getting our messages as she does have someone with her, and they can read them to her, or set her lappy or whatever she is using up for her.
I will post if I here anything back from her. You all take care now,
