it never defeats me how many people with a serious health condition always want to share something that brightened their day up. We have a wealth of people rich in the desire to keep one another happy please keep on posting.
I'm pretty easy to please ant, my little meeting with a young grass snake certainly rounded off my day nicely. Its great that through technology these moments can easily be shared with many others.

Omg! Hope it wasn't poisonous x
So do I !!!!!!. There are Adders on the Malverns but this little one was only a colourful grass snake I hope.
OMG - that would have terrified me!!! Hope you are keeping well xxx
I'm ok with grass snakes but if it had been an adder that would have been a different story. I'm feeling pretty good now but that's thanks to an increase of my daily steroids so we'll have to wait and see what happens when I start reducing. I think my anti jo1- positive is having a bit of a flare up.
Thanks TADAW.

Fingers crossed it will all calm down very soon xxx
Great video Tony. Looks like a lovely little snake! Hope you are doing ok. Take care. xxxx
Thanks Tony, liked the video. I used to be terrified of snakes until I met my friends one. I thought they would be cold wet and slimey. Was surprised to find hers was soft and warm.

I've got my cat Tigger to thank for spotting this one. I could see her playing with something on the lawn so I went to investigate and was pleased that I did, so was the little snake I'd expect.

Well done Tony for capturing this lovely grass snake on film and thanks for sharing. It's good to see any wildlife these days as more of our countryside disappears. An adder isn't normally a threat to humans unless it's being p****d off by one and I guess there's plenty of natural habitats for all creatures in your beautiful Malvern Hills....Lovelight x
I come close to treading on an adder on the Malverns just before I fell ill 4 years ago. I was stood on a main path looking at the view when I saw something move about a foot from where I was standing. It was unmistakable with its zig zag markings on its back. Its camouflage made it very difficult to see even when you knew it was there, anyway it didn't bite me for disturbing its sun bathing so I was quite happy about that.
There's plenty to see up on the Malverns but its even more special when its in your back garden eh'
Good to hear from you Lovelight.
Tony xx
Great to see we still have a wild life. Great Vid
I am a lover of most creatures great and small but I DONT LIKE SNAKES ewwwww
You would of loved this little thing, it was only about as thick as a boot lace and 5 inches long. Not exactly an Anaconda.
Oh no no never going to click. Worms and snakes send me into hysterics. Give me spiders anyday. xx
what a beautiful creature - thank you xx
I live near a big wood I used to take my lab and let her off the lead she was bitten I didn't know by what she became really ill I took her to the vets he found the snake bite it was an adder. They can make dogs ill and kill smaller dogs if not treated I hate them.
I also live near a guy who has a small zoo someone left a big plastic container outside his house inside was a huge snake the person could not look after him.
Nice one Dall. GROWN ONW
Here's a video I took at work last year. A fully grown one !
The sandbag it passes will give you an idea of it's size and length.
Great to see them !
