My consultant spoke to them and they are saying they haven't received my referral. So my consultant has had to do it again. So I've just had 3 months wasted waiting to be accessed.

Hi Michelle, Your experience sounds identical to mine and it was only when I contacted the transplant team co-ordinator that I found out. Since that I always get on the phone when something doesn't seem right and chase things up.

I just feel really disappointed that 3 months have been wasted. I can't fault my consultant he wasn't very happy. The kids go back to school on 4th sept. They are of to there dads tomorrow for a week so I've got a nice break and a rest. I'm full of cold at the minute as we'll just hoping it won't cause a flare up. Thank you for your replies xx

Hi Michelle, once they realised what had happened and I was talking directly to the transplant co-ordinator I was given a date. I had to wait a further 3 months for the first assessment but that soon went by. After that they decided I was ill enough but fit enough to be put through for the stage two assessment.

I had to wait around two months for that, it was only a few days after that they phoned and said I was live on the list.

Good luck Michelle, I hope it all goes smoothly from here on and stay as fit as you can while your waiting as they like to see your doing your best.

Tony. xx if you need any further info don't hesitate to ask :)

Urghh! Good job your consultant spoke to them - it could have been another three months before you found out! How annoying! Lets hope they fast track you now. Take care, TADxx
