Hi

Is there a particular issue,

The home page, list recent post. Click all post to see the rest, just one column for questions or post.

Click on your username green bar, click news feed, list all the latest activity on this site plus any other site you have joined.

From the news feed you can go to all the sites you have joined and come back to BLF, if you wish.

All the other features are still there.

The only issue I have , if you do not lock you post, then anyone can repost. Your post to Facebook and Twitter without your knowledge . Including all the replies.

Having experimented with the Face book button, your right stone you can transfer anybodies post and the replies for all to see which was a little surprising.

I don't mind my posts being put on facebook but others might not like the idea so people do need to be aware of this situation.

As you say this can be avoided by simply locking your posts to members only.

Well spotted stone I read this on one of your earlier posts and thought I had better check it out.

Thanks but how do I lock every thing, do think that is really bad, for things which are supposed to be private among our site disgusting, don't trust this site any more, if I wanted my business on FB I would put it on, truly shocked .

Hi

When you write a post.

At the bottom above the submit button, there are two options, on who can view the post

Option one anyone default setting means members and none members can read post and replies plus can be reposted on Facebook and Twitter by any person, member non member or any person with malicious intent.

Option two community As to be selected, can only be read by members.and there is no option for Facebook or Twitter.

Any replies you make to a unlocked post, can be posted along with the original post, to Facebook and Twitter .

No needto leave site, lock you post, and share your concerns.

All that is needed is that the default setting be a locked post

Its sad that we have to wait so long communicate , but I guess its not a chat line is it ? good though to have a place that can relate to one and other

Hi

Any post that. Is unlocked can be reposted on Facebook and Twitter including any replies.

Having had a exchange of e-mails they did say they would post a explanation?

All they have to do is set the default setting to locked post.

Thanks for the information, Stone, maybe we should have had some form of user guide from the site. I wondered what all of those padlocks were for !

Hi

The Help button on the Green Bar Goes to list of topics , although they explain how to write a post, there is no mention of Facebook or Twitter, or the consequences of using.

Much appreciated, I have never wanted to have anything to do with either Facebook or Twitter !

Me too. I choose not to be on Facebook or to tweet. Perhaps HU could inform members alongside the unlocked choice that it could appear on FB and T.

I too will think twice about contributing unless a post is locked.

I'm on FB cofdrop not twitter. It's a shame not to be able to post on unlocked threads as sometimes it might be a cry for support or encouragement. Hope you are wellxx

I quite agree Suzy and that is a dilemma. However I think stone is right HU could set the default setting as locked.

If someone is distressed, scared or new I would imagine they would assume their comments would stay within the confines of this site, facebook being the last thing on their mind and not realising unlocked means consent - not acceptable.

Hope you are at your optimum best sweet.

That is very bad, I don't wont my business all over face book, especially as no one had warned me think I will opt out of this site

Not happy that if I reply to an open thread I can't lock my reply. I don't think I can?
