Hi lynisa

I guess on the face of it you must feel your results are much more severe than that of you husbands - not necessarily the case. I have bronchiectasis and a while ago an xray was requested by cons so the results would go back to him in that case in any event. The xray showed up a shadow, and in that case they have a duty of care to follow up and this should be done by a consultant. BTW my shadow was the remnants of an infection. So please don't get in a panic. At this stage it is a routine duty of care follow up.

Good luck sweet - wishing you well.

I have mild/moderate COPD and have never been referred to a consultant, only a nurse. I asked why and was told that the nurse can handle it at my stage but if it gets beyond them that's when they send you to a specialist. Good luck with it x

Hi there lynisa there are 4 stages of COPD ,Stage 4 is the worst and so on down ,what was your Stage ,if you do not know yet I would suspect you are 3 or 4 and your husband is less maybe a 3 or even a one ,even saying this everyone is different ,some people can do more than others ,get yourself to the consultant and you can then start your road to feeling better ,once you have COPD you can never get rid of it ,but you can improve your breathing and health by starting the COPD Courses that are avalable to you .I hope this helps you a little ,I know it is scarey at first but ,there is a life after diagnossis ha ha .All the best .Thomlin.

At least this way you will not have long to know - better than waiting around worrying. cx
