My lips can go blue, and some people on this site have said in the past that their fingernails can become blue. Have you got an oximeter to check your oxygen levels, and I would mention your problem to your respiratory practioner or ring the helpline for advice. Best of luck

My fingers go blue and my nose goes bright red and its always cold, I constantly get chilblains on my fingers.........I did mention this to my doctor who seemed uninterested, I have an oximeter and sometimes my readings are in the 80/70 but when ever I get tested by the copd nurse im told 'its fine' even though I noted down my readings for a week she too seemed uninterested, she told me the oximeter I was using was not accurate even though its the exact same one my doctor used on me the week before......I have now decided not to bother going back to the doctors re: copd as I don't feel like im even been listened to, hope you have a more understanding doctor/nurse than I do, have you had your bloods done recently?
