Were you wrongly diagnosed with an allergy before being diagnosed with a respiratory condition?

Would you like to be featured in a newspaper?

I have sarcoidosis but was originally diagnosed as having asthma. Spent a year on various puffers before being sent for an x-ray. While I don't mind taking part I don't want to denegrate the NHS because of one mistake by a locum GP.

Hi Morrid, thank you for your message. We totally agree with not denigrating the NHS, we hope to help support it where we can. Using a personal story throughout our campaigning and awareness raising can really help bring it to life making it easier for the public to relate to and understand, so you would be making a huge contribution for others who haven’t yet been diagnosed. Do get in touch or send me a private message and I will give you a call whenever is convenient for you. Take care, Teresa.

Hi onamission. We work very closely with healthcare professionals to help give training and support on COPD. One of the tools we've created is the COPD pathway for both GPs and patients and their carers and families: copdpathway.blf.org.uk/

Find out more about what we do on our website: blf.org.uk/Page/COPD-workshops
