Well what a change. The wind and rain has stopped, and there is a big round yellow ball in the blue sky. Could this be a starter for spring? I wish.

Same in my bit of Cornwall too - though I'm not holding my breath :( We even had the remains of a slight sprinkling of snow on the front lawn this morning - must have fallen in the night. Terrible thunderstorms here over Liskeard last night too. Have heard softly whispered rumours that we are in for a good summer... bring it on!

Hello Parvati. I am only a few miles from you in Pelynt, after I posted earlier, the clouds came back, and the showers. No where near as bad, but now it's very cold out. Please we don't need snow on top of all the rain .

Oh crikey! I used to live in Polperro until I moved to my little bungalow in Liskeard! I still pass through Pelynt when I go cliff path walking - I walk down through Polperro, up the Warren and do the Polperro - Talland walk and back again. It's all closed off now though isn't it - due to being able to 'hear the cliffs move'. My son and D-in- law are still in Polperro.

Yes fingers crossed but I don't think we have seen the last just yet. I have also heard there is more to come. Take care everyone, and stay safe. X

Well, i saw on the forecast that first tonight, all night, we are going to experience another storm, but after that, although depressions will still go over us with lots of rain, they say that all this seems to ease off at last. I lift my hands to heaven to be true! Poor you all who had to suffer the atrocious conditions. Whitstable in Kent has been spared. But not too far from us, a house front collapsed! the garden is squelchy, but there are some small yellow flowers, not really daffodils, as they are too little. We all need this great big round yellow ball in the sky :-)
