I have found a way the NHS can save thousands of pounds.
Turn the blooming heating DOWN in the hospitals.
Went to visit a friend yesterday it was so hot in the hospital I could hardly breathe and I really struggled to make it to the Respiratory ward where she is, it cannot be healthy.

It is done for the patients Polly. The sick and the elderly can use up a lot of energy just keeping warm, so the warmer they can be kept the better. The energy saved can then be used to fight the illness.
Oh, my! I need to move nearer to you. The last twice I have been in hospital I have had to wear my dressing gown in bed and ask for extra blankets as I was freezing! x
Totally agree with you Pollyj I also think they could turn unnecessary lights off in wards that have large expanse of windows. When I was in the ward I was forever turning the central lights off as they hurt patient's eyes when lying in bed. During the day the ward was adequately illuminated fro natural daylight all beds had independent light above the bed for treatment purposes the central lights were wasteful. There were six patients in the ward who all agreed with turning out the lights..
I agree, in some wards and waiting rooms at the hospital it is so hot and no air circulation I can hardly breathe.
