my CT Results say a dont have Bronchitiasis BUT my lung doc says i have chronic lung sepsis BUT is treating me for Bronchitiasis .

Yet he's diagonis says i have Bronchitiasis i am totaly lost ... Like i have centrilobular emphysematous in both apices ... plus i have apical centrilobular emphysema also known as bulla .

and inferior lingula consolidation under 2cm

But i dont know if holes and bullea given my chronic condition lung sepsis is causing the hole's in my lungs to get infected with fluid asbestos fibers dead skin tissue i cant remove from my lungs thus cause emphyema no not emphysema but emphyema thus cause lung infections lung abceses pleura plaques effusions.

Then results in chronic lung sepsis which in turn results in cor pulmonale but if its not that is it the staging ground for asbestos related lung cancer or asbestosis mesothelioma.

Its al very confusing and is that a plausible scenario .. only reason am asking as iidb are to put it politely aving a laugh and asking

I can understand why your are confused Daz, I would be too. I have just done a web search on treatment for Sepsis and Bronchiectasis and only US papers come up, when I tag UK or NHS on the end of that search mostly only Bronchiectasis comes up.

I may be wrong but I am thinking the UK docs are at a loss how to treat the combination of lung issues Daz.

I'm not even sure if the The Royal Brompton would be able to help you with all the lung issues. It may be difficult for you to travel there, but if you think you could manage it, may be ask for a referral.

You would think your lung consultant would refer you if he feels he is unable to treat you adequately him or herself.

I can only continue to hope that you will find a way through all this Daz and get some new improved treatment that will help.

Oh Daz I wish I could help you find the answer. Maybe take a holiday from all the reading and just rest up for a bit, mulling the information over now and again more understanding may come to light. The most important thing is to take good care of yourself and do the things that you know help you the most.

Hi ye have put it of but have dead line .. a did ask GP and looked quite shocked when i adked him about chronic bronchil sepsis - also its called chronic lung sepsis .. been in touch with sepsis trust and thay said both names are the same

Hi BC ye feeling much better now aired .. ye means i do have Bronchitiasas even if not seen on ct scan .. everybody with bronchitiasas has chronic lung sepsis as that is what it is

Thanks dazisnotsogood for the sepsis trust link. It makes me realise how lucky I was when my daughter rang 999 when I was so ill. The paramedics and doctors recognised it immediately in Wales and I know my local hospital has a specialist team to deal with this bacterial infection. Take care

Hi knitter yer i comend your kid on her speedy action .. ye a new nothing about bronchitiasas yet alone it being known as chronic lung sepsis .. You would think there would be stuff on here as its a lung condition and deadly one two .. But yep am glad you and you family are on the ball

Why cant you have both? Back in 2008 I had double pneumonia, compartmented lung due to infection and blood clots to add to this I had severe emphyema which was still showing 1cm after 1 year along with fluid still slopping around. I have had a conflict with the fact that when I breath deeply I have pain as if my lungs are touching my ribs? I cannot get a definite answer as to what this is from my doctors etc.. Sometimes that say it is because the infection stripped my outer skin on my lungs my nerves are exposed and then I am told it is the fibrosis?

I know they do not know everything but sometimes they can look in their subliminal direction as that is their strength.

I hope things move in the right way for you and they keep up the tests.

Hi offcuts a hope am as robust as you have been .. ye you are defo suffering from asbestosis .. did you ever have procedure with talc in your pleura .. My mate was talking to a christi cancer doc about my stuff coughing up and he recons given my previous jobs after i left where i was exposed to asbestos he thinks when i left there and got new hob that involed working my lungs harder would of pushed asbestos fibers into all my bits thus causing my problems today

Hi offcuts yer a tryed getting my xray but atos courts seem to have problem loading them .. A was thinking ut might be becouse am a gost .. but nar its coz the full of it .. now my lung docs dont have computers on

Hi sassy59 yer am ok just a pain trying to find stuff out ... my lung doc is doing right things so dont have issue there its just is un willing ness to accept its caused by asbestos we have issue about .. he best get use to it coz am not going anywhere .. Well unless he gives me some more valium then a guess al be happy :))

You must be so p***** off all you want is treatment for what is really wrong with you I thought I had it bad with level 4 COPD but I wouldn't want to be in your shoes it does make you wonder what planet some of these Dr's are on
