Hi Tobydoo. I love London. I have been up there near Christmas and the lights of Oxford Street and Regent Street are lovely. I would love to be there now. I don't think my Husband Mike could cope with it now.i don't think I would like to drive there anymore. I did do it a few times when I was younger. You are so lucky to be able to see these big Cities.

not so bad with the congestion charge now Mavis, fewer cars.

You cant beat a ride on the top of a London bus though, moving easily along the bus lanes - if you can get up the stairs that is!! xxx

Hope your driving goes well ! Stay safe and happy Christmas holidays

aw that's lovely. Many knock London but it's not the filthy place it used to be.

It is magical at night. Albert Bridge is the prettiest but the views fromWaterloo Bridge are priceless.

Happy driving :)

Ah yes, the London buses are great! I used to spend hours in a bookshop on the corner of Mallet Street (Dillons, I think). Five floors of it, a paradise for the reader. Nobody bothered you if you read the whole book in there! I've got all my books on the shelves now and I order mainly from Amazon, The Book Depository of Chess Direct!

Good memories!
