Hi all. We went to see our Sons yesterday. It was about a thirty mile round trip. My Husband walked all the way in to a Garden Centre and didn't even notice he didn't have his oxygen on. He hasn't even been able to walk to the Loo without it for a long time. I can only think it is because of all the medication he has been on. He said it is the best he has felt for a long time. So very good day. I just hope it Carries on.
Good day. : Hi all. We went to see our... - Lung Conditions C...
Good day.
The relief - how fantastic for you. I bet you had a fantastic day with your son - not having to worry about your husband. Don't do what I do - start to worry that I'm not worrying!!!! Enjoy the time he is well. I am so so pleased for you. Long may he stay well and you ! Take good care, TAD xx
Hi Tad. Thanks for your message. We have four Sons. Hence the thirty mile round trip. I think I did speak too soon. My Husband had a shower this morning and we took his oxygen levels it was 75. He is still feeling quite well though.
So glad to hear of his improvement it's wonderful, and it gives me hope I've not been able to bounce back since my pneumonia in June and it's really depressing, I'm using the oxygen more I'm hoping my consultant will change or up my medication.
Kim xxxx
Hi Kim. I have been really worried about my Husband as he has not been able to do much for a long time. He has had pneumonia two or three times. Who knows what he had this time it could well have been pneumonia again. He has also had blood clots in his lungs the beginning of the year. I thought how he was was how he was always going to be but now he seems a lot better. I know I shouldn't say it and I am crossing my fingers when I do. I just hope it isn't the lull before the storm. No! I mustn't think that. It is probably the steroids making him feel better. Anyway there is always hope to feel better. You take care. X
Hi Mavery, Good to hear good news for a change you both deserve it. Matt/Fran

Hi Mags. Thank you for your post. Do I spot a bit of Scottish in A wee spark. ? X
Oh you do indeed Mavery haha! xxx
I love the accent. We went to Edinburgh on the 21st of December a few years ago. It rained all day with a drizzling rain. We went back to the Hotel to get changed ready to go out in the evening for dinner. We had told the Concierge that we wanted a taxi to take us out. It had started to snow when we first went back and when we were ready we could see by now the snow was two inches deep. When we asked for our taxi we were told you wouldn't get a taxi tonight but you could walk its only round the corner. Boy was all our faces red. We were with our Son and his Wife at the time. We walked to the restaurant and had a lovely meal. On the way back my son decided to have a snow fight and of course I lost. I ended up with snow all down inside my coat. It was one of my most happy and memorable holidays. I would love to see a lot more of Scotland but it doesn't look like i will now.
What a lovely memory you described there Mavary Im in Glasgow so just 30/40minutes from Edinburgh, however, very, very different to Glasgow but equally endearing cities...Glad it was memorable. Your words described it well
What a lovely day, bet he was over the moon, smashing news, Heather.X
That's great Mavary, wishing you and husband many more good days like that
Best BC

KOTC
Hi Marvary, wonderful newes about your husband, sounds as if the medication is helping him, I know its difficult but try and not worry so much ! and think more about his progress, him seeing you worry will not help him. take care, and keep him warm these cokd nights. Malk.
Hi Malk. I don't show him any worry. I keep it to myself and you poor people who have to put up with me. Ha! ha! I know the disease he is fighting and the prognosis is not good. I certainly keep him warm. I make him a hot water bottle when he goes to bed. I find being to talk to all you nice people help me greatly. Thanks for your posting.
Your welcome. Pleased to know we help a little in our small way, take care. Malk
Hi Mavis, its great to here hubby is doing so well. I shouldn't worry too much about the low sats after his shower as mine always drop under those circumstances, I normally have a session on my oxygen afterwards just to get things back to normality.
