It's sunny out here but a bitterly cold wind makes it impossible to sit out too long. The Hotel is brilliant and the food and company is good. We've had a stroll along the beach at Quarteira today which was very nice x

I am not sure whether or not I should comment here, given the level of jealousy I am feeling at the moment! We are at 1 degree right now with a -2 degree forecast for overnight. Brrr. Enjoy!

Wow! i went on honeymoon to Albufeira. At midday once, we went up to Quarteira in the mountain. We were both hungry. My wife spotted a group of builders going somewhere. she told me to follow them, they were probably going for lunch. Indeed, we ended up in this tiny cafe. We had sword fish steaks. Thereafter we went right up. There was a lovely white church and a wedding going on. We were so pleased to see this. After the wedding, we went in and saw on the walls nativity scenes all made up with azulejos (blue tiles like Delft). It was absolutely magnificent!

We went in the summer, so had good weather! You amaze me that the weather could be so cold! I did have a go at learning Portuguese to understand the nostalgic fado. Haven't gone very far with it. Love it, though! Lucky you!
