It sounds to me, tomb, as if you need a visit to your doctor and tell him/her your concerns.

It is the best thing that you have chucked smoking. Dont give in.

Also ring the BLF nurse, Monday, and ask questions. The number will be found if you cllck on the red balloon above. All the best - Annieseedx

The best thing you could do was stop smoking, I'm sure your breathing will improve.

My sister gave up smoking a few years back. I remeber her saying at the time that she felt worse and was coughing and breathless more than when she smoked. Her Dr said to keep at it, the coughing etc was just her lungs clearing out the junk and getting fresh air into areas where it hadn't been for a long time. It settled down with her, but you should chat to your GP. As everyone says don't give up on the 'no smoking', things will improve, I am sure. Be positive - you CAN - DO it!

You've done the very best thing you can do. It WILL improve but take note: if this is how you feel at 28 imagine how poor your lungs will be at 50 (which is the new 35) if you go back to the cigs.

Gawd, it doesn't bear thinking about Tomb .

Do call the helpline for advice. It's the cost of a local call and they will call you back if they're very busy. 03000 030 555.

All the best to you and your future health. Peeg
