Hi Daz.... I haven't been around on the site for a while, been trying to sort out my health mystery as the poxy docs can't, found out that my mild emphysema wasn't causing the extreme breathing probs it's a thing called PoTS, anyway, how are you doing now? Sorry I don't know the answer to your question but just wondered how you was getting on and with all the legal stuff with atos etc...
Hi tbink am just other infection .. Tribunrals have issue with my xray ct scan pics .. These a surprise but ye am ok just tad worried as my doc said same as yours so if its not my bullea or emphysema what is causing mine too
PoTS is short for postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, every time I stand up my heart races and when I do anything like walking my chest tightens and I can't breathe. There are a hell load of other symptoms but that's the one that made me think it was my lungs, but this causes lack of oxygen too due to the speed of the heart.... Have they checked your heart out?.... Nice to hear bak from u
I thought i had heart problems .. Is miner to yours really but ye a know that causes lung problems think its like fluid build up etc
Defo a pain this being ill would not recommend it at all
Have thay talked about a pace maker for you
My lung doc is only intrested in lungs but am going to after see GP if my heart starts playing up again mine races and then stops not lik but feels like that think its fibrillation or something
My gp is very concerned bout my heart not being very strong as I have lost over 2 stone now and will have lost heart muscle so could drop dead at any time lol.... On a serious note all the heart irregularities and fast pounding heart is palpatations and tachycardia, in PoTS if you check your pulse lying down it should be normal, 60-80 beats per minute, when people who have it stand up their pulse/heart rate goes up by at least 30 beats per minute and usually over 120 per min within 10 mins of standing still.... When mine goes up to 150 I can't breathe plus I lose oxygen to the brain etc, it's a very rare condition that hardly any docs have heard of or know wot to do bout it, maybe you should check your pulse from lying to standing daz
Hello Heather was just visualising us all now lying down taking our pulse then all standing and taking our pulse bought a smile to my face could see a cartoon picture in my minds eye.:)That sounds scarey for you though Heather how lucky you have a doc that has picked up on this, what can they do to help you? Please dont be offended I was smiling at myself coz i suffer with funny old heart probs Iwas about to lie down but dont have one of those monitors to do that ,if I try myself i keep loosing count.Janexx
Lol Jane yah made Laff too.... I would like to say it wasn't the docs who found out, they kept saying I was depressed or stressed and with all the weight loss I look like a skeleton they kept saying I was suffering from anorexia nervosa, I used to be a nurse and so one day when I was feeling very ill and dizzy I thought I might have postural hypotension (that is a drop in blood pressure when standing up), I told the doc and they said they wasn't interested in my heart rate and when she checked my BP and pulse lying down it was fine (she checked using my blood pressure monitor as she didn't even bring hers on the home visit)! I saw that my heart rate was going to around 130-140 every time I stood.... I ended up in A & E and they were even going to send me home! So I said to the young house officer, before you send me home and I collapse just check my heart rate standing up, he did as he knew I was a nurse and promptly made me lie back down and called the cardiologist.... So it hasn't been an easy journey and to be honest as the gp said last night that I probably won't be able to tolerate the medication that they treat it with! Oh well.... If I was you I would invest in a good BP/pulse and oxygen saturation monitor! Kind regards heather x keep smiling!
There are lots thay can do first is omga3 fish oil as that helps you heart grow new vains or there is pace maker or thay can re shock heart in order to take speed wobble out .. Have you ever had a spinal injury in thoracic region
I haven't had any injurys or probs they picked up on in my ct scan... I hurt my back when I was 19 doing power lifting but it mustn't have done any real damage lol
Hiya dazisnotsogood that sounds very interesting eh,I wonder if the proceedure is as simple as the heart stent being done through an angiogram ?How good would that be,can you imagine the waiting list for it,Hope it comes here soon if its considered a roaring success the money that would be saved ultimately. How exciting. Are you just getting over or just getting infection .Stay warm and keep taking the bloody tablets haha!
