My lung age is about 160. I hope to live that long just to prove it ! :)

I,d like to know how they can say 160 ,no one has ever lived that long have they,i reckon they just make numbers up :)

in reply topoeticlady

yes make them up to scare us into not smoking, but what of the people who have never smoked with copd, and only half of the copd is smoking, there are other factors as well.if I live to be 90 my lung age now I will be ok,with that, but really 90 116 120 124 160,comedians aren't they,

yes I agree, I just thought when she said 91 ,if I live too that age and still have what I pass for a brain I,ll be well happy lol :) and my dear lungs will be the ripe old age of 129 ha ha

in reply topoeticlady

It's done just using a formula so I don't reckon it's realistic. :)

Hi poetic lady - my husband has severe Copd and I have to be honest we have learned not to pay too much attention to breathing test results! If he is well we just carry on and try to enjoy life! The test results matter to the medics when he needs intervention. I am not saying ignore them just don't worry about them continue to enjoy life lots of love TAD x x
