Specialist - at last! New diagnosis? Now emphysema, new med - spiriva, but found a nodule on the CT. Back soon to CT again. Help fathom plse

Hi,I recently had a cat scan,showing a small nodule along the horizontal fissure,probably an intra-pulmonary lymph node,I haven't a clue what that means,I will ask when I see the consultant 25 th sept,I also have emphysema and IPF .Will let I know unless some one else answers us before that,

Hi, I had nodules on my lung and was referred for cat scan, they monitored them every 3 months for a while and then sent me for a pet scan. Fortunately they were not a problem. It is just a worry when you have to go back for scans. I was lucky, hope you are too. XSusie

Hi I was found to have nodules on my right lung almost 12 months ago.Have had repeat scans every 3 months,now every 6. As long as they don't grow,seems to be what they go by.I believe if growing,then they do a pet scan.Apparently,they can be just a simple thing eg scarring on lung.Good luck with it all,xxx

Thanks Wendells. Now I know they are onto it I am more at ease. Did they mention anything about managing it, or exercise?

No,not as far as the nodules concerned,just to make sure I have the repeat scans,when due.Apparently there can be many reasons for them,not all of them bad,thank goodness!
