Doctors on BB1 today. A patient has COPD.

It's good to see COPD and emphysema being mentioned on TV during a series. Anything which draws people's attention to it is good news. I think that's the 3rd time that Doctors has mentioned it.

Emphysema c.o.p.d. does not get the attention like heart and other organ conditions for some reason!

Hi rick ~ completely agree with your comment...c.o.p.d seems to get little attention compared to heart and other organ conditions even though it's a life-limiting illness. It concerns me that every time c.o..pd does get a mention on TV/media someone always seems to follow it up with words like 'that's because they smoked', which isn't always the case anyway.

Any number of serious medical conditions( including accidents) can also be brought on by indulging in things that aren't potentially very good for us and that's just a part of life.

Hope you're keeping well....Lovelight

I Watched that. Zara was giving the old lady a ticking off for smoking. Being a bit sharp to her!!
