Update and a help with anxiety!

Hi everyone, we have just returned from a fabulous holiday nearly 3 weeks which has just been delightful. My husband has been well and has walked more during the holiday than he probably has all year. All ready now for PR on Thursday - oxygen delivered yesterday - the reality check! Yes he does have severe COPD and we have to deal with the oxygen usage. My little daughter looked at the cylinders and just simply said - I don't want Daddy to have to use this. Well, if it keeps him well I know one of you lovely bloggers told me to look at it as another medicine. Onwards and upwards!

Whilst we were away we met some friends and she was telling us how she developed panic attacks out of the blue last year and her doctor suggested that she tried RESCUE REMEDY spay by BACHS. (easily available in chemists). Now I do remember this as my mother bought it for me some years ago when my mother in law came on holiday with us! I duly bought a little spray and my husband has found it really useful. It obviously doesn't help with the breathlessness caused by COPD BUT it does seem to help with the anxiety. It has an immediate effect and thought I would pass this little helpful hint on!

I hope that you are all well, enjoying a fabulous summer and continuing to fight on!

What a lovely, positive outlook, Tadaw. I am glad you enjoyed the holiday. I also seem to do a little more exercise when away from home though I am unsure why. Maybe the climate is better, or I spend more time with my family, but whatever the reason it is a good result. I know the PR will be beneficial. :)

So pleased for you and of course the 'snorer' ... but now not a snorer ... new mattresses make such a difference to how we sleep .... I thought I had a bad back, changed my mattress and back pain altered hugely!

Hopefully the positive approach can be taken on when back home

Good luck

Beth
