another week begins

Hope everyone is feeling as well as can be. It's thundery here but when I went shopping earlier it was lovely and sunny.Changing fuel supplier to one of those community purchase plan things, but nothing changes it is still complicated and bills coming at us one after another in the same week. Why can't it be like years ago where you settled your bill with one company then moved to the other before anymore bills arrived??? The process is so worrying for those on low income or vulnerable.I thought the government had asked fuel companies to make it simpler and help low income families, my experience says there doesn't seem to be any change.

Hiya Katie.

We were with British Gas for years and years. One day wifey was in M & S and the salesgirl offered her a much better deal with no increase until 2014.. Wifey came home and phoned British Gas to see if they would give us the same deal. No chance they said. So we took the M & S offer. Thereafter British Gas phoned time after time offering the same deal as M & S. Bog off said wifey, you had your chance.

Hi Bobby, one up to your wife. It's a drag every time we change don't know how some people cope.British gas are good but not always the cheapest and it's cost that counts for some of us isn't it?

I've been lumped with British Gas - landlady chose them for the original gas supplier when we first had the central heating installed and because they installed the meter she wants me to keep with them (I suspect she thinks they will charge her - it's always about the money!) :) xx

I have always liked British Gas and returned to the after promised deals from another firm did not turn out to be what was promised. British Gas give me the best price I can get with living with COPD and a guaranteed call out within 4 hours should I have a boiler breakdown,

Thanks for your reply Kingofthecocktails, its nice to know some people get good prices and service, however I know from other customers that they can respond slowly to call out on there boiler service packages. So it's a case of speak as you find.
