Meal

Had a lovely meal tonight with my daughters, not the cheapest place I've been too but the fillet steak was melt in the mouth, followed by mango mess (like Eton Mess). It was nice not to have to cook.

I love Turkish Delight (not the Cadbury's chocolate stuff but the lime, lemon and rose squares which are drenched in icing sugar (I think it's icing sugar) and are usually in a wooden box). So expensive though.

Mmmmmmmmmmm

Got some Annec, it's £2.50 in Tesco, rose and lemon in a pentagonal (?) cardboard box though, it's gorgeous!

I don't work now, was made redundant, had pneumonia at that time and never quite been up to working again.

Oh, I've got LOADS of Turkish Delight at the mo, a large Cadbury's one in the fridge, 4 Fry's in the drawer and a box of Sultans rose and lemon flavoured TD. Am presently staring at a plate of congealed bacon, cheese and mushroom tagliatelle made 40 mins ago - just not got the breath to eat it. Many years since I had a fillet steak, would luuuuuurve one on a good day, with onion rings and a salad. Libby

Wifey had the same rabbit food salad we had last night. My front teeth have started to grow a bit long so I opted out and the freezer came up trumps. Corned beef hash! Proper food!

bought some corned beef in sainsburys on Tuesday, lady who served me said "have you had this before" yes I replied, been eating it for years, "this is British corned beef not that other fatty stuff" she replied, must say it was wonderful, hardly any fat in it at all. xx

Oh, so glad you enjoyed your meal out - well worth the cost when you enjoy it - and the added bonus - no dishes LOL :)

It's good to have a nice meal out isn't it? Though I wouldn't eat the meat...

Last week I went with 2 friends to a local pub who do a wonderful cheap carvery (I have everything except the meat). Prices start from 3.59 for a small one so its great value. And very popular. And the gravy is veg as well!
